Launchology

    Refund Policy

    Last updated: August 2026

    This Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back from Launchology. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read alongside them.

    We have written it in plain English deliberately. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@launchology.co and we will explain it properly.

    2. Summary

    What you bought

    What you get

    Monthly membership (Builder, Accelerator, Accelerator Plus)

    Cancel any time. Access runs to the end of your paid month. No part-month refunds. Plus a 7-day goodwill guarantee on your first paid month — see section 5.

    Individual course or digital product

    7-day goodwill guarantee, subject to the usage limits in section 5.

    Accelerator Plus 1-to-1 mentoring

    Covered by the membership terms above. Unused sessions are not refunded — see section 7.

    The rest of this policy sets out the detail, including your legal rights.

    3. Your legal right to cancel, and why it may not apply

    Because you buy from us online, UK consumer law — the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — normally gives consumers a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract and receive a full refund.

    There is an important exception for digital content, and it applies to almost everything we sell.

    When you buy from Launchology, we give you access immediately. Before you pay, we ask you to tick this box:

    Yes, give me access straight away. I understand that starting immediately means I give up the automatic 14-day cancellation right for digital content. Launchology’s own 7-day money-back guarantee applies instead.

    Ticking it does two things the law requires: it confirms you want the content straight away, and it records that you understand this ends the automatic 14-day cancellation right. Once you tick it and we start supplying, that statutory right ends, and the refund available to you is our voluntary guarantee in section 5. We repeat your confirmation in your order confirmation email so you have a written record of it.

    The box is separate from agreeing to our Terms, it is not ticked for you, and you cannot complete a purchase without it — so this is never something that happens without your knowledge.

    One honest qualification for memberships. A membership is partly digital content (courses, templates, downloads) and partly an ongoing service (platform access). The tick box ends your cancellation right in full for the digital content. For the ongoing service element, if you cancel within the first 14 days of a new membership you may instead be entitled to a refund of the part of that month you have not yet used, less a proportionate amount for the days you have. If you think that applies to you, email hello@launchology.co and we will work it out with you fairly rather than argue about it. In practice our 7-day guarantee in section 5 is more generous than this in most cases.

    If you did not give that consent — for example if you bought something that has not yet been made available to you — your full 14-day statutory right remains and we will honour it. Tell us at hello@launchology.co and we will refund you in full.

    This policy does not limit your other legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or a price reduction regardless of anything in this policy, and nothing here affects that. Neither does it affect your rights if we have misdescribed something.

    If you are buying as a business rather than as a consumer, the statutory cancellation right does not apply to you at all, but our voluntary guarantee in section 5 still does.

    4. Cancelling a membership

    You can cancel a Builder, Accelerator or Accelerator Plus membership at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation fee.

    • Cancel from Account Settings → Membership, or email hello@launchology.co and we will do it for you.

    • Cancellation stops the next payment. It is not backdated.

    • You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

    • We do not refund part-months or unused time.

    • Your account reverts to the free Starter tier. Your data and progress are retained in line with our Privacy Policy, so you can pick up where you left off if you come back.

    If you cancel and then change your mind before your paid period ends, just resubscribe — you will not lose anything.

    5. Our 7-day goodwill guarantee

    This is our own promise to you. It sits on top of your legal rights, not instead of them.

    If you are not happy with what you have bought, tell us within 7 days of purchase and we will refund you in full, provided you have not consumed a substantial part of it.

    What counts as “not consumed a substantial part”

    We use countable limits rather than a vague percentage, so you always know where you stand. You qualify for the guarantee if, at the point you ask, you have used no more than:

    Product

    Usage limit

    Individual course

    2 lessons

    Accelerator programme

    1 module

    Templates, kits and downloadable resources

    2 downloads

    Investor Database

    25 investor records viewed, and no exports

    AI Co-Founder

    10 interactions

    If you have gone past those limits, you have had meaningful value from the product and the guarantee no longer applies. We can see usage on your account, so please do not ask us to take a view on it — the numbers are the numbers.

    What the guarantee covers

    • Memberships: your first paid month only, on any tier. Renewals are not covered — by then you have had a full month to decide.

    • Individual courses and digital products: every purchase.

    • Upgrades: if you upgrade tier and regret it within 7 days, we will move you back down and refund the difference.

    What it does not cover

    • Any purchase where you have exceeded the usage limits above.

    • Membership renewals after your first paid month.

    • Purchases made more than 7 days ago.

    • Accounts we have suspended or closed for breach of our Terms of Service.

    • Repeat claims — see section 8.

    6. How to request a refund

    Email hello@launchology.co with:

    • the email address on your account;

    • what you bought and roughly when;

    • a one-line reason.

    The reason is genuinely useful to us — it is how we work out what to fix — but we will not argue with you about it. If you are inside the window and inside the usage limits, you get your money back.

    Our commitment: we will acknowledge your request within 3 working days and, where a refund is due, process it within 5 working days. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may then take a further 3–10 working days to show it, which is outside our control.

    Where a statutory refund is due under section 3, we will process it within 14 days as required by law.

    7. Accelerator Plus mentoring sessions

    Accelerator Plus includes one 1-to-1 mentoring session per month.

    • Sessions are part of the membership, not a separately priced item, so they are not refunded individually.

    • Unused sessions do not roll over into the following month and are not refunded on cancellation.

    • If you need to move a session, give us at least 24 hours’ notice and we will rearrange it at no cost.

    • If you miss a session without notice, it counts as used.

    • If we have to cancel or reschedule, you will always be offered a replacement slot, and if we cannot provide one that month the session rolls over.

    8. Fair use

    The guarantee in section 5 is offered in good faith and we expect it to be used in good faith.

    We may decline a refund, and where appropriate close an account, where we see:

    • repeated buy-and-refund behaviour across multiple purchases or accounts;

    • bulk downloading of templates or bulk viewing or exporting of investor records immediately before a refund request;

    • sharing, reselling or republishing our content;

    • a refund request from an account created to evade a previous suspension.

    This is rare and we would rather assume the best of you. But we are a small business and we will protect ourselves where we need to.

    9. Failed payments and involuntary cancellation

    If a payment fails, we will retry it and email you. If it is still unpaid after 7 days, your membership will pause and you will drop to the free Starter tier until you update your payment method. You will not be charged for the period during which your account was paused.

    10. Price changes

    If we change the price of your membership, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before it takes effect. You can cancel before the new price applies. If you were on founding-member pricing, the terms of that offer as stated at the time you subscribed continue to apply for as long as your membership remains continuously active.

    11. Chargebacks

    If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please email us first. We will almost always sort it out quickly.

    Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting us costs us a fee even where the claim is unfounded, and we may suspend the account while the claim is investigated. We reserve the right to challenge chargebacks where a refund has already been offered, paid, or is not due under this policy.

    12. Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the date you bought. We will not apply changes retrospectively to reduce a refund right you already have.

    13. Complaints

    If you are unhappy with how we have handled a refund, email hello@launchology.co with “Complaint” in the subject line. We will respond within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 20 working days.

    If we cannot resolve it between us, you can contact Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or via citizensadvice.org.uk, or take the matter to the courts of England and Wales.
