This policy explains what cookies we use on launchology.co, what each one does, and how to control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things — that you are logged in, what you have chosen, what you looked at last time.
We also use related technologies that work in a similar way and are covered by this policy:
Pixels and web beacons — tiny invisible images that record that a page was loaded or an email opened;
Local storage — a browser store that holds data on your device, used to keep you signed in and to remember preferences;
Software development kits (SDKs) — code from third parties embedded in our platform.
Where we say “cookies” in this policy, we mean all of these.
3. Your consent
We only set non-essential cookies with your consent. When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting — there is no dark pattern here and no penalty for saying no.
Essential cookies do not require consent because the site cannot work without them, and the law does not require consent for them.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in our website footer. Your choice is remembered for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
This is required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

We have IP anonymisation enabled in Google Analytics, and we do not use it to identify you personally.
4.4 Marketing and advertising — consent required
Let us measure whether our advertising works and show relevant ads to people likely to find Launchology useful.

If you reject marketing cookies, these do not fire. The Meta Pixel is only loaded onto the page after you have allowed marketing cookies — it is not present beforehand.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies above are set by third parties, who process the data for their own purposes as well as ours. Their handling is governed by their own policies:

Embedded content — such as a video or a booking widget — may set its own cookies when it loads. We load embedded content only after you have given the relevant consent where the law requires it.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser, independently of our banner:
Blocking all cookies will break the platform — you will not be able to stay signed in, and your course progress may not save. Blocking third-party cookies only is generally safe.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): where your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an objection to marketing cookies and do not set them.
7. Do we track you across other websites?
Only through the Meta and Google advertising cookies in section 4.4, and only if you have consented to marketing cookies. We do not sell data to data brokers and we do not participate in cross-site tracking beyond standard advertising measurement.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our tools change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If we add a new category of cookie or a new third party, we will ask for your consent again before setting it.
